Azerbaijan e-Visa from Pakistan

Azerbaijan offers an electronic visa to Pakistani citizens through the official ASAN Visa system. It is one of the quicker routes for Pakistani travellers, but fees and rules change, so check the official portal before you pay.

How the application works

Pakistani applicants use the ASAN Visa system in three steps: apply, pay and download the e-visa. Notices about the application and the payment are sent by email, so use an email address you check regularly.

Fee and timing (commonly reported)

  • A standard single-entry visa for 30 days of stay is commonly reported at about USD 20 plus a USD 5 service fee; an urgent option is reported around USD 50 to 60.
  • Standard processing is commonly reported at about 3 to 5 days, and urgent processing in a matter of hours.
  • The e-visa is reported as valid for 90 days with permission to stay up to 30 days.

These figures come from Pakistani news and agency pages that do not fully agree with each other. The official portal is the final word on fees, validity and processing times.

Documents commonly asked for

  • A clear scan of your passport. Sources differ on required validity (three months and six months are both quoted), so keep at least six months to be safe.
  • A hotel booking or accommodation address in Azerbaijan.
  • A contact address in Pakistan and an email address.
  • A debit or credit card that accepts international online payments.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Using look-alike websites. Apply only on the official government portal.
  • Typing passport details that differ from the passport scan.
  • Booking non-refundable flights before the visa arrives.
  • Overstaying: reports say extensions are generally not allowed for e-visas.
